A Thank You! District Project 2007-2008 - Kerry's Place Print
Written by David Traves

As many of you know, Kerry's Place Autism Services was our District Project for the 2007-2008 Masonic year. They have been providing support and consultation to children, adolescents and adults with a diagnosis under the Pervasive Developmental Disorder Spectrum and their families since June 1993.

Organizations like Kerry's Place rely on donations and support like yours to continue their good work. Below is a letter addressed to the brethren of the Toronto Humber Valley District thanking you for your support last year.

Although Kerry's Place is not our District project this year, it is important to continue your support for charity's and organizations like these. It is this support that is very much a part of what makes us masons.

For more information on donating your time or money to Kerry's Place, visit them on the web at http://www.kerrysplace.org

Toronto Humber Valley District
Grand Lodge of Canada in the Province of Ontario

Dear Toronto Humber Valley District Members:

On behalf of Kerry’s Place Autism Services (KPAS), I would like to extend our utmost thanks and congratulations to each of you. KPAS was honoured to have been chosen as the charity of choice for your 2007-2008 fundraising year and we commend you for your outstanding efforts.

It was a pleasure meeting many of you this past January during your Robbie Burns fundraising night. I enjoyed the opportunity of speaking to you and of being a part of your special evening. We were also pleased to welcome Mr. Bob Barker to our head office where he was taken on a tour of one of our treatment centres and given a short presentation on what we do, and therefore, on the immense need for supporters such as yourselves.

As a non-profit organization, KPAS relies heavily on the generosity of donors and supporters that enables us to move forward in the work that we do to continue to enhance the quality of life for all individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The funds received from the Toronto Humber Valley District allow KPAS to continue to design, develop, and implement programs and services, vitally needed across our service areas.  Additionally, and perhaps more importantly, your contributions enable KPAS to reach more individuals and families who are in need of the services provided as the prevalence of Autism Spectrum Disorder and related Pervasive Developmental Disorders continues to rise.

On behalf of Kerry’s Place Autism Services and the individuals and families we support, I thank you for your kind contributions.

Best regards,

Glenn Rampton, C.D., Ph.D., C. Psych.
Chief Executive Officer

I've got a question...

We all have many questions. Some have answers. If you have a question that you want to ask the webmaster or someone else in the district (e.g. How do I join?, How do I get Calendar Events added etc...), please view the Frequently Asked Questions area first by clicking here.

We are all busy, and would appreciate you finding your answer on this site first if it was already asked before contacting us. Thank you!
