The process of selecting a Charity sometimes can be very daunting as there are so many
worthwhile organizations who do so much good and need our support.
I must say that the decision to choose C.A.R.D. last year as well as this year for our District to
support was made very easy. Last year, we started off by having a D.D.G.M. Dennis Blake,
who had volunteered and was aware of all the good C.A.R.D. did, supported the C.A.R.D.
choice. I decided to support C.A.R.D. again this year because of the first hand contact I had as the District Charity Project Chair last year. We were able to complete the renovation of a small bungalow on the property and other renovations that were in the neighbourhood of $150,000.00 with approximately 1500 hours in manpower. Through this we had the opportunity to see exactly what C.A.R.D. was all about, the direct impact of our efforts and how much it means to those who are able to take advantage of the services that C.A.R.D. offers to those with various disabilities.
