I am honored and excited to have been elected as the DDGM
for Toronto Humber Valley. With various plans and programs in
place, my goal is to create a more unified, and efficient district. A
district that has specific targets in mind, and, one that encourages it's
members to all pull in the same direction to accomplish those.
I will also do my very best to ensure that the district is well represented across our Grand Jurisdiction.
Congratulations also to our Past DDGM, R.W. Bro. Gary Bryan. You have done great work and I sincerely appreciate your dedication. Congratulations also to V.W.Bro. John Ratuszny on his appointment as a Grand Steward. Your efforts as our District Secretary have not gone unnoticed. I also would like to acknowledge all of the other appointments this year. For a list of those, please do check the district Trestle board.
Brethren, Please do your very best this year to support your district, and the lodges that reside in it. Remember that the Official Visit of a lodge is a very special occasion for it members. When visitors come to fellowship with the Brethren, it really means so much to the host lodge. They will glow with pride and remember what a great night they had. This is especially true with your new masons and may just be the catalyst that solidifies their feelings on what fraternity really means.
R.W. Bro. Andrew J. Turk
D.D.G.M. - Toronto Humber Valley
District
Brethren,
Welcome to the Toronto Humber Valley District Website. I would like to congratulate R.W. Bro. Andrew Turk on becoming D.D.G.M for this masonic year, and to all the newly installed Masters of our District.
I hope you all will get the most from this site in the coming months. I ask that any Brother with any ideas or suggestions please feel free to e-mail me a message with your input. If you would like to promote any events held within the District, or events specific to your lodge, please contact myself, or your lodge representative to post the event on this site.
I hope to continue to provide this district and it's members with a useful tool to help them continue to cement the bonds between the lodge's in this relatively new district, and it's members.
Bro. David Traves
Kingsway Lodge #655
Webmaster - Toronto Humber Valley District
P.S. If your lodge has not picked a THV website representative yet, please have your secretary forward this information to me as soon as possible. As of October 19, 2009 I have only heard back from 3 of the lodges within our district. All lodge secreatary's should have recieved an e-mail from me outlining the process of picking this representative, and should return their selection to me within the next few weeks.
09-10 District Project
The District Project this year is in support of Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD)
2B1 Ask 1, As Masons we should not solicit members. Instead, interested men should ask us to join. Ensuring they are interested within their hearts first.
The Friend to Friend program is not soliciting but rather educating. The program is designed to introduce and educate men about Masonry.
I'm sure there are a lot of Masons that have a friend that has inquired where he's going in a suit, or tuxedo.
We all have many questions. Some have answers. If you have a question that you want to ask the webmaster or someone else in the district (e.g. How do I join?, How do I get Calendar Events added etc...), please view the Frequently Asked Questions area first by clicking here.
We are all busy, and would appreciate you finding your answer on this site first if it was already asked before contacting us. Thank you!
There are also many advanced features available to Toronto Humber Valley Masons. If you are a member of the valley contact your District website representative in your lodge for more information.
